I've always had a passion for understanding how things work, but my passion for woodworking didn't fully set in until 2012. Spring of that year brought the birth of our daughter, Josephine, and five short months later came my wife's breast cancer diagnosis. In the most difficult moments, I found refuge in my workshop. Focusing all my thoughts on creating something beautiful from the wood and tools in front of me was akin to meditation, a chance to simply be in the moment.
Now many years later, my wife is healthy, my kids makes their own creations in our workshop, and our family has grown by one with the adoption of our son, Doc, in the Fall of 2018. What started as an escape has become a passion, and I'm thrilled to share each unique creation with you. Thank you! |

Selecting the woods...
|
The process... |
|
After carefully selecting various woods, I arrange and cut the pieces to create the desired effect. From there I glue, plane, and sand the board before routering out a drip edge or handles. The final step is cleaning and conditioning the wood for use.
Each piece is a labor of love and a one of a kind creation. |
